The design prompt for this advanced visual communication class project was to design an electric vehicle dashboard user interface. Created using Photoshop and After Effects
The design process began with researching modern UI driver displays. Progressive gauge expressions as well as a unique color scheme were key objectives for my design
Prior to design, two existing UI were selected to replicate which reflect techniques taught in class such as radial dial creation, use of background maps and planes and nuanced use of blur, glow, line weight and opacity. The one on the left is the original, the one on the right is my replication
Replication #2: A few flourishes were added to my UI on the right. Most notably, a grid was placed over the number background plates, a more pronounced gradient was used and a map in perspective was added to the navigation pane
